Is Project Payday a Scam? My complete review

I joined Project Payday in June 2008, now I would like to give it an objective review. I want to say Project Payday is not a scam; however, it is not a good choice for everyone. In this review, I will explain the basic “mechanism” behind Project Payday program and tell you what you need to do to make money in this program. Hopefully, this review can help you make a wise choice.

What is Project Payday?

Project Payday is an online course that teaches you how to make money from the Incentivized Freebie Websites, or IFWs.

IFW is a kind of affiliate market system. Some companies put offers on that kind websites for promotion. If you try some offers on an IFW and refer some other people and let them also try some offers on this website, you will get some money. However, to get enough referrals, you must pay for them. Therefore, there are at least two methods to get money from IFWs:

method 1: try the offers as the referral and get payment from the referrer (work as a seller) ;

method 2: buy the referrals and get money from IFWs (work as a buyer). In this process, seller and buyer are partners.

Once you join Project Payday, you will get a whole bunch of information and tutorials help you feel easier to get started.

However, to make money by this method, it is not necessary to join Project Payday. You can find some experienced people to teach you. People will be happy to help you, because at the same time they can make money.

How to make money by Project Payday?

The process to make money with Project Payday is not very complicated.

First, you need to join a project payday forum, and then you can start to try the offers (method 1) to make some small money.

There are thousands of posts for buying referrals in the trading area. Then, you need to set up a trade with one of the poster (buyer). Normally, they will give you 40-70% of their commission for getting “green” (the status on IFW when you gain required credits).

Then what you are going to do is signing up the IFW site through the referral link and complete the offers to get enough credits. For a $60/referral IFW site, normally you need to complete 6-8 offers to get green. If you want to make some money in this process, you need to control your cost on the offers.

When you complete several trades, you can start to use method 2. As a buyer, you need to promote your post and try to attract people to trade with you. However, it is very hard to find a seller. In the Project Payday world, everyone wants to be the buyer.

So what are Project Payday tutorials going to teach you? They only teach you how to use the forum and how to complete the offers — which is better than my “tutorials”, they are videos.

Negative Side of Project Payday

Project Payday is not a scam. It is a legit way to get some fast cash. It is much better than those paid survey or “data entry job”. But some problems forced me to quit it.

1. This work cost too much time. Actually even you invest tons of time, it is still very hard to make a considerable income.

2. You must take some risks. You must frequently use your credit card and personal information to complete some useless offers. You must clearly remember the time to cancel the trial offers and read the policies carefully otherwise your credit card will be charged automatically.

3. “credit missing” is very common. It means for some reasons, you complete an offer, but you can’t get the credit for the offer. I must say this kind of case is very common.

4. Offers are not repeatable and the number of offers is limited. As a result, it is very hard to earn a constant income by using method 1.

5. SPAM You will receive tons of spam emails and mails.

6. Fierce competition. If you want to make considerable income, you must use method2, i.e., buying referrals. As I have said, it is very hard to find referrals. There are some “Project Payday gurus” that have completed hundreds of trades. You have no chance to win the competition with them, because people tend to choose experienced buyer. Therefore, there is almost no space for new Project Payday members to make good income on it. In short, opportunities in the Project Payday world are not equal.

I have joined this system for quite a long time, but I almost made nothing. Instead, I must frequently deal with the unexpected transactions of my credit card.I have paid more than $500 to cancel some unwanted accounts!

However, I still visit the forum and try to earn some extra small cash occasionally (use method 2 only). The Project Payday people are very nice. I made some friends in the forum. For me, Project Payday is a good online community but not a good online business opportunity to earn extra income.

If you are looking for a constant and considerable online income source, then you MUST host your own website and run your own business, rather than join any “program” and make money for gurus.

However, as an experienced online marketer, I must remind you there is no easy cash on the internet. To make serious money online, you must really put some effort and be patient enough. As long as you employ the correct tools, follow the correct instruction and take the correct action, your effort will be paid off.
